A delegation from French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) Visited Isfahan University of Technology (IUT)

The French National Centre for Scientific Research (French: Centre national de la recherche scientifique, CNRS) is the largest governmental research organization in France and the largest fundamental science agency in Europe. It employs 32,000 permanent employees (researchers, engineers, and administrative staff) and 6,000 temporary workers. You can find more information about this Center here and here.

The members of this delegation visited Isfahan University of Technology on June 1, 2016 and had a session with IUT representative to review the ways of collaboration between their center and IUT.

“Establishing connections to universities and institutes around the world is one of the main goals in CNRS. Our center support mutual research projects between French scientists and scientists from around the world”, said Dr. Patrick Nedellec, director for European Research and International Cooperation and the head of the delegation.

During the meeting IUT representatives and the CNRS delegation, introduce their institutes and research fields and had discussion about common points of interest.

Visiting the University of Tehran, Sharif Technical University, Amirkabir Technical University, Tehran University of Science and Technology, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM) and Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology were other programs of this delegation during their trip to Iran.
