The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) published the list of top 1000 global universities in 2016.

According to this list, Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) improved to # 844 among the 25,000+ degree-granting institutions of higher education worldwide in this year's CWUR World University Rankings. IUT is at fourth position between 8 Iranian Universities which are present at this ranking after Sharif University of Technology, University of Tehran, and Tehran University of Medical Science.
