Prof. Massood Zandi Atashbar, an alumnus of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology and currently a professor at Western Michigan University in the USA, has been honored with the prestigious title of 2023 IEEE Fellow. This esteemed recognition is in acknowledgment of his significant contributions to the field of flexible hybrid electronics.

On January 24th, the Director of IUT International Scientific Cooperation Center paid a visit to CERN. In this visit, Prof. Mosaddegh met with the deputy Spokesperson of the CMS experiment as well as the CMS BRIL project management, a project that IUT is involved in its upgrade to operate at the high-luminosity LHC. In that meeting, the CMS management expressed their satisfaction with the excellent performance of the IUT team while discussing ways to further extend IUT's contribution.

Prof. Esmaeil Mehryar , an Assistant Professor at Biosystem Department of Agricultural Engineering Faculty, Is assigned as the Iran’s Scientific Counsellor in China. In an assignment letter by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, he was chosen for this position for a two-year period to manage all Iranian students’ academic affairs in China, Japan and South Korea. Apart from the aforementioned assignments, Prof.
Dr. Chantal Delli, Economic and Scientific Counsellor of the Embassy of Switzerland in Iran paid a visit to IUT. Dr. Delli paid a visit to the International Scientific Cooperation Center at IUT to meet with the new head of Swiss Desk, Prof. Dr. Jafari. Insisting that all decisions at Swiss universities are made independently, she expressed her hope to continue scientific cooperation. Various aspects of such cooperation were put under scrutiny in order to strengthen the already strong ties between the two scientific communities.
