Based on the 2025 version of the Times Higher Education World University Ranking, Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) has been ranked 601–800. This year 2029 top universities throughout the world participated in this ranking. Among the 80 Iranian Universities and Institutes consisting of Medical, Comprehensive, and Technology, IUT achieved 9th place, as like as last year.
Times Higher Education has been independently ranking universities worldwide since 2010, and IUT has been included in this ranking since 2016.

Prof. Massood Zandi Atashbar, an alumnus of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology and currently a professor at Western Michigan University in the USA, has been honored with the prestigious title of 2023 IEEE Fellow. On January 24th, the Director of IUT International Scientific Cooperation Center paid a visit to CERN. In this visit, Prof. Mosaddegh met with the deputy Spokesperson of the CMS experiment as well as the CMS BRIL project management, a project that IUT is involved in its upgrade to operate at the high-luminosity LHC. In that meeting, the CMS management expressed their satisfaction with the excellent performance of the IUT team while discussing ways to further extend IUT's contribution.
