By designing and manufacturing two products to disinfect objects, production of about 40000 face masks and 100 hospital gowns per day, the researchers at IUT demonstrated their technical and specialty capabilities associated to social responsibility of the university to fight coronavirus

This device which is in size of a microwave is used to disinfect any object at home.
The objects that are brought home can be put in this device for some minutes to inactivate the possible viruses and bacteria on them.
There are two models of this device. NOURA SANITIZER UV50 is the one which is used at homes and has a capacity of 50 liters and it is equipped with finest UVC lamps free of ozone.

The Deputy for education at the Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Dr. Ahmadzadeh, asserted that more than 30 faculty members at this faculty are preparing materials for more than 40 course groups in both graduate and undergraduate programs. The virtual classes are held both online and offline associated with interactional Q & A classes.

IUT became conspicuous in ISC Ranking in 2019. The presence of universities from the Islam World was salient, in ISC ranking, 2019, among which there were 43 Iranian Universities. In this ranking, IUT scintillates in the second place which is shared by Sharif University, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and Tarbiat Modares University.

A Memorandum of Understanding between Isfahan University of Technology (IUT)-Iran and Sabanci University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM)-Turkey has been signed.  

According to the Plan of Developing the Five Top Iranian Universities into International Level, IUT is ranked first in the two indices of the frequently cited papers of the faculty members, and the sabbatical leaves per capita. As for the ratio of the citations for the published papers, IUT is ranked second and for the index of spin-offs it is ranked third.
