IUT is the 3rd Technological University and 4th Comprehensive University in Iran.

2,300 universities from 107 countries and 6 continents were evaluated by this ranking system based on which IUT is ranked 701-800 globally, and 3rd nationally among the technological universities of Iran.

IUT is ranked 4th among 51 comprehensive universities in Iran. In ISC ranking 2021, Tehran University (401-450) is in the first place, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (451-500) is in the second place, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Sharif University of Technology, and Tarbiat Modares University (601-700) are jointly in the third place, and Isfahan University of Technology and Amirkabir University of Technology (701-800) are in the fourth place.
