Isfahan University of Technology achieved the highest ranking among Iranian universities in Leiden ranking system.

According to Leiden ranking system, Isfahan University of Technology was ranked as first Iranian university in scientific reference and also in scientific and international corporations. Leiden ranking system is one of the most authentic international ranking systems and is affiliated to Leiden University, The Netherlands. The Leiden Ranking 2015 offers key insights into the scientific performance of 750 major universities worldwide. 13 Iranian universities are in this ranking. A sophisticated set of bibliometric indicators provides statistics on the scientific impact of universities and on universities’ involvement in scientific collaboration. The Leiden Ranking 2015 is based on Web of Science indexed publications from the period 2010–2013. Based on this ranking Isfahan University of Technology is Iranian top university in Scientific Authority (The number and the proportion of a university’s publications that, compared with other publications in the same field and in the same year, belong to the top 10% most frequently cited) and also is Iranian top university in Scientific Diplomacy (Scientific and International Cooperation). Isfahan University of Technology also achieved sixth place between Iranian universities in Industrial Corporation after Tehran University, Sharif university of Technology, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tarbiat Modarres University and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
