A group of administrators and faculty members of the Department of Physics visited the National Observatory of Iran on June 16, 2022. In this visit, which was carried out at the invitation of Prof.

Prof. Hossein Farrokhpour, a member of the IUT Department of Chemistry, was honored by the Iranian Chemical Society as an outstanding chemist in the field of physical chemistry.

In this meeting, Prof. Mohammad Javad Omidi, the former director of International Scientific Cooperation Center was honored and Prof. Peiman Mosaddegh, was announced as the new director.

This event was arranged on July 25, 2022, and in the presence of IUT President and the administrative staff of the International Center.

IUT President appointed Prof. Peiman Mosaddegh as the Director of the International Scientific Cooperation Center in Isfahan University of Technology (IUT).

A PhD student in Materials Engineering, Isfahan University of Technology, published a paper entitled “Development of New Alloys by Additive Melting Method of Electron Beam” in the prestigious American Journal of Additive Manufacturing with an impact factor of 10,998. This journal is ranked first among 50 journals in the field of Engineering/Manufacturing. This work is the first paper from IUT and the first Iranian paper on Electron Beam Melting (EBM) Technology published in this journal.

Students from the IUT Department of Mathematical Sciences won two Bronze medals in the 44th national students' mathematics competition.

Mohammad Hossein Isfahanian, a student of the Department of Mathematical Sciences, won a bronze medal in the team section by gaining the rank of 23.

On June 2021, in a report entitled “Systematic Review of Automated Text Summarization for Biomedical Literature and Electronic Health Records (EHRs)”, Iran is ranked 2nd after the United States for publishing papers on data mining in medical texts.

It is reported that all 7 Iranian papers have been published by young Iranian students and researchers under the supervision of Prof. Nasser Ghadiri, an associate professor at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT).

The Winners of the Swiss Excellence Scholarship 2022-2023 are announced. According to this announcement, 17 new scholars  from Iran this year as well as 6 academics who were able to prolong their scholarship another year. 4 new winners are from IUT out of 17 Iranian scholars.
